1] I have a Yamaha EF2800i the problem is it cranks, but it doesn't start. What
could be the problem?
2] What is the decibel rating on the Black Max model BM10700 7000 watt portable
generator? Also, what are the dimensions for this generator?
3] I have a Coleman powermate6250w standby gen set that does not make power I
replaced capacitor checked diodes tested good. I would like to know how to test
armature windings and field windings this generator has had very little run time
and looks like new I cannot physically see anything wrong with windings and no
shorting to ground thought maybe an open in windings

5] I have a Mitsubishi mge 6700 portable generator. The generator has lost its
magnetism, how do I restore the magnetism
6] My Honda portable generator only puts out partial amperage, I took it apart
and on the back end of the armature their are 2 small cylindrical pieces that
resemble diodes, one of them looks burnt and will not allow a reading on my ohm
meter the other one looks like it has been warm but does show a reading on my
ohm meter when i touch the leads to the wires that come from each end of the
diode looking thing! Are these to parts in fact diodes? How should the read on
my ohm meter? And since I cant see any numbers or letters on either of them what
would you recommend that i replace them with? I do not know how many watts the
generator is supposed to
7] I have a Generac 3.4 KW Model #00941-1 that is putting out 180 volts instead
or the normal 120 volt, the AC breakers did not blow as a result it burnt up the
three way circuit card that controls the frig. in my RV. Whats the problem?
8] What portion of a Office Building with garage, dispatch center should be
backed up by a generator? Provide separate wiring to those items backed up? Use
of automatic start-up upon power failure?

9] I'm and RV technician in south east NM. I have a customer with a Generac GN
480 series, Q55G, model 09592-3
It has been run faithfully once a month as he is hooked up to shore power most
of the time.
The genset engine runs fine but produces no AC power.
I tested both sides of the circuit breakers and found no AC voltage. The wiring
schematic for this model shows a third circuit breaker just off the circuit
board, but I'm unable to find it.
Is this the board or is the stator shot.
10] Used Black Max 4000 watt Generator is there any recalls?
11] My husband bought a used gas powered generator when he starts it, he has to
use the choke, even when its warm, the 110 works fine, but when he switches to
220 and plugs something in, it shuts off right away, what should he do?

15] Kohler Generator starts but as soon as you release the start button it shuts
down. The oil is full and the gas is full. I had to replace the coach batteries
and now this happened. Everything else in the coach works. HELP!!!!
16] I have a GPP 6000 generator. I changed the rpm. When I run my sump pump on
the generator it runs slower then if connected to a home power source. Will I
change the generator output buy adjusting the motor rpm? If yes what is the
right setting and how can I adjust it?

18] Just bought a BLACK MAX generator. It has what looks like a " no load idle
solenoid " on it. It has a wiring plug on it but nothing to plug it into. Is
there a kit I have to get to make this work?

29] I have a UST 2300W portable generator. (Chinese copy of a Honda). Runs
great. I hook it up to my travel trailer ac house power cord to charge the
battery. The draw is around 400 watts. Checking the ac outlets in the trailer,
the frequency is only 45 - 50. The voltage is around 115. With no load on the
generator, the frequency is right around 60 and voltage at 120. With trailer
hooked to house current, outlets in trailer check normal. What would cause the
frequency to drop that much with a light load
30] I have a Colman Powermate 5000 watt generator. Bought used. Starts and runs
fine. I have applied a volt meter to the genset and found out that it is
producing 135/270 with not load. Applied a load and it came down to 127volts.
Did not apply to 240 side. Is this normal? How high is to high. Can I adjust the
governer to reduce the voltage
31] My 5500 kw diesel generator is only putting out 100 volts on 110v. and
190volts on 220v. Is there something simple I can try for a repair.
32] What oil do I put into my Generac EC-2100 model, and how do I know where and
what the oil level is. The generator has stopping working.
33] Just acquired a Kipor kde5000 diesel generator - the manual recommends a 5
minute warm-up period "running it at low speed and no load" by using the
governor setting. Well, as far as I can tell, the governor is either set in the
run position (approx 3000 rpms), or in the off/stop position. There are no other
settings or positions unless you want to manually hold the governor somewhere in
the middle for 5 minutes and warm up the engine at a lower rpm. Am I missing
something here.
34] When generator (Honda EM5000SX) is running on auto at 120 volts, the voltage
drops down to about 90 volts when I plug in accessories like drill, lights, etc.
The auto throttle solenoid seems to work fine and I am suspecting the Auto
throttle unit. Any thoughts. Thanx.

36] I have a Troybilt 3550. it was back fed 110 but was not running. Now it does
not make power. It does make 12 volts AC coming into the brushes but nothing
coming out of the bridge rectifier. Is this the right volts? How can you tell if
the transformer is good?

seconds then acts like its running down. Its a Generac on his horse trailer.

50] I converted my gas generator to propane about a week ago and the unit ran
just fine on both propane and gas. Today I tried to start on propane and it
would only start and then stall. Tried it on gas and it started and kept
running, but the RPM would fluctuate. Is it an air leak.

It will not idle down when not under load.
52] My generator engine will fire for a few brief seconds, but will not start up
and run. It is a pull start Coleman with a Subaru motor. I replaced spark plug,
gas, and took the carburetor apart and cleaned with gum out spray. Checked the
oil, it is full. I cleaned the magnet on the flywheel, and the coil pick up.
What am I missing?
53] Where can I get a "Kipor TC 2000" serviced in the London or South England

who said it will be the slip ring it produces 12v ac which exits the main
winding, where is the slip ring.
