I'm a regular guy who loves the conveniences of electricity. I'm also an outdoorsman who loves to spend the weekend out in the wild camping or boating. Based upon what I was looking for, I wasn’t really surprised that the Eastern Tools & Equipment 3,000 watt generator fitted the bill perfectly.
After purchasing the generator, I gave it a try in my house. I followed the recommended procedures in the owner's manual on filling the oil and gas tank and started it. In just a single pull, the generator worked perfectly.
And, as advertised, it runs silently. In fact, it was way quieter than my lawnmower. The great thing about this generator is that the engine is equipped with a low oil shutdown system. This means that if the generator is already low on oil, it will automatically shut down to avoid overheating.
This way, I won’t have to check the oil frequently with the fear of overheating. The 3.17 gallon fuel tank can operate continuously for 8.5 hours on full load and 13.5 hours at half load. This is truly a fuel efficient generator.
